Vacation Certificate FAQ's

  1. How is it possible for you to provide these award programs so inexpensively?
Our "Getaway Incentives Marketing System"™ is based on an advertising trade out program we put together with hotels and resorts across the country and in some cases around the world.
This trade out program works because the average hotel has 30 - 35% of there rooms vacant everyday. Hotels rent out their rooms by the nights, and unlike a normal product, once tonight is gone you can't go back and sell yesterday. It's gone forever!

Well, hotels and resorts like our program because we provide them a solution for this problem by placing additional travelers in their already vacant rooms at a very discounted price. Why would they do that? Because it is better to have someone stay at a discount than not stay at all. Plus every business loves additional and residual income from customers. Our program provides this to them in the following ways:
Travelers spend extra money in the gift shops, restaurants, lounges, and with room service.

Travelers also may decide to stay more nights than their award was good for. They pay for any additional nights.

As long as they have a good experience, 98% of travelers will stay at the same hotel when returning to the same destination.

People usually recommend to friends and family members who are going to be traveling to that destination in the future. It is for these same reasons that you can expect for your customers or clients to receive the best possible experience when traveling on our awards. The hotels and resorts that are participating are expecting people to come back on their own time and time again. And we all know that no one will go back voluntarily to someplace they absolutely hated.

  2. How do I know my customer will not get stuck paying the hotel bill?
Wyndham Worldwide and MDC Group Inc. adheres to the GAAP Accounting Rules which states that they must reserve money for future fulfillment of every certificate as it is sold. For every one of our certificates that are activated $65.00 - $120.00 per night is put away into an account to pay for the fulfillment of that certificate.

  3. What costs does the vacation certificate cover?
These certificates cover the cost of the hotel room only. It does not cover room taxes or anything a guest may charge to their room. Nor does it cover transportation.

  4. Do I have to sit through some sort of presentation?
NO. It may be offered for additional consideration, such as a free extra night or tickets to a local attraction. But it is never a requirement of traveling on these certificates.

  5. How long do I have to use the vacation I receive?
These certificates have an expiration date typically 15 months to 18 months from the time you receive them. Once the certificate has been activated, the traveler has one year to use it.

  6. Can I get price breaks for buying more?
These prices are considerably below our normal retail pricing. We have already taken into consideration the volume sales that will come from your companies group buying power and priced these certificates accordingly.

  7. Can I use one to test it out before I give it to a client?
You can use the first of the pack you purchase; but we do not sell in packs of less than five.
